I would be in to though.... :)

Count me in if anyone is interested in getting these fab'd.

I'm interested in hearing the price of the steel version.

Recovery Brackets

I have an extra pair of steel, powder coated recovery brackets if anyone is interested.

Tanner - If you find another pair hidden somewhere in a back closet PM me, as I am interested in a pair also.

Mine arrived yesterday, thanks Scott (tanner57) and now to try and find the associated bolts. I am going to try and find something local, if possible. I would love to be able to have them installed this weekend. Kinda like Christmas coming early! :grinpimp:

Ordered my bolts and washers. It will take a week or two to get them here. Funny how a little thing like this can make you feel so good, but it does. I love the process of making the LC my own. BTW, the bolts ended up running me about $11.50 each. That was with yellow zinc bolts. I am buying a spray on galvanizing paint for corrosion control and plan on using the paint in the small areas where I have rust forming on the under carriage.

OK, so now I have crawled under the truck to check the condition of the OEM bolts that will be removed for the new FRBs. I will definitely need a large breaker bar to get those bolts to move. Any suggestions as to what size bar I will need? I was looking at an 18" long 1/2" Craftsman breaker bar at Sears. Will this be long enough? Last question: When I add the FRBs, what is the torque setting on these attachment bolts?

Thanks much,

Jonathan

Go to your local Harbor Freight to buy the breaker bar. This isn't a precision item and there is no need to overspend.

1/2" Drive 25" Breaker Bar

I think I bought a three piece set for under $20. 18" will probably give you more than enough torque to snap the bolts in half.

interested too

I would love a pair myself, depending on price. Keep us advised.

Ok guys everybody is saying they are interested in another production run of these but no one is saying how or who makes this happen. The product was designed by Dan and there is a mechanical drawing in one of the links to this post. It seems we need to get Dan to either do another run or get permission to use his design and get another shop to produce these. Has anybody approached Dan ( Spressomon) about this. He has not signed into this thread in awhile. He is probably out using his cruiser.

Mike

Still here. I got a quote a while back for the original 6061T6 with mil spec hard anodized coating (see post #166) but at $195/pr I got the feeling that was too spendy; the original run was quite a bit less because the guy had scrap laying around...

I got sidelined with the myriad of projects on my rig this year  but I'll get a price in raw steel and post back.

I'm working on another product offering or three ;) the more serious 100 wheelers might be interested in...maybe I can get a machine shop to give me a bulk order discount for all! :)
