I would also be interested in recovery points - my only hesitation is that I still have the OEM front bumper. Do not want to damage it, as I have read this may happen. Thoughts on rear mounted recovery? My other thought is what do you use on a stock 100? Hitch mount? Would appreciate the groups thoughts.

And anticipating Loud's next comment - I have been talking with the wifey about Slee's front bumper... just need to save up for it and that may take a while. Need to know what my options are for the interim.

So you'd rather protect your worthless plastic cover then recover your whole vehicle? Ok enjoy.

OK guys, we have a Haas CNC mill at work, and things are pretty slow. I'm sure that we can make these out of either 6061 aluminum and/or steel. What would be the preference? I am going to go ahead and make a set going by the print credited to spressomon, I believe. I found it in one of these threads. I'll see how they turn out and post pics.

do it!!

And since I couldn't qoute the other guy on my phone for some reason, you've gotta just trim two little notches out of the bumper mount on the arb. I've got pictures from siglo I'll try and post em if I get wifi, or post em Monday if siglo doesn't beat me.

6061 would be my choice. I'd be down for two depending on price.

Checking on a price to do another run.

Greetings!

I will take a set with mounting hardware if you do a run.

Best regards,
Bill

I need to nail down the hard mil-spec anodizing cost but assuming it hasn't changed that much a pair made from 6061 with the mil-spec anodizing would run $195 plus shipping plus bolts/nuts/washers.

That's in quantities of 10 pr.

Who pi$$ed in your Wheaties? No, that was NOT the point. But if I can recover my entire vehicle without having to rip it a part, I DO see it as a plus!

lol, i was just giving you a tough time since you called me out earlier in the thread. They can be used with the bumper, and all it will do is push up the bottom lip a little, it wont cause the bumper to be ripped to shreds. In actuality, if you were to be pulling on the stock hook, nose down recovery would cause the same damage, if any.

Good to know about the stock hook. Have also heard that it has a tendency to break too. This was the biggest reason for looking outside of stock hardware. Don't need to have Gineric hauling my hiney out of a ditch only to have my single recovery point snap in the process. No need to have to wait until spring before being able to bring home the :princess:'s rig. You could just close this account, cause I would be a dead man.:bang:

ok, so get a pair of hooks so later you can have two, but for now only put it on the drivers side. That way you have the OEM hook so you feel like you wont hurt your bumper, and when you really need it, you've got the FRB on there.

wow, wish I'd had a 100 3 years ago when the first batch was done! Not sure I want to spend that much per pair, that's looking a bit expensive with international shipping on top. Back to the drawing board / angle grinder for me I think ;)

FYI: I am currently waiting pricing for a steel version of these FRB's. Will post as soon as I know something.

I was interested, then decided why not put that money toward a Slee front bumper which has two recovery points!? ;)

Juuuust kidding. for the tech, does anybody know how to add tow points to an ARB? I was thinking some D-Rings on the lower tabs where you run the pin through. Instead of a bolt you could possibly add a d-ring?
