I really love those brackets. I had to cut 2 small pieces of the ARB deluxe bar mount on each side in order for the shackles to fit. I was really stuck in mud once and my friend who came to get me out got stuck too. It took two tow trucks to winch me out of that mess. The factory hook would have been bent or broken off for sure.

If there is another run for those, I'm in for a pair + bolts etc.

I had to cut the bumper too but never got around to it so I put the stock hooks back on. I just got the FRBs refinished last month so maybe I'll get around to it sometime soon.

what kind of finish did you use?

I powder coated mine at a local windows factory and they did an amazing job. Since the ARB bumper is quite high compared to stock, driving in the desert or highway during sand storms strips most of the paint from my front end. I have to apply some undercoating every now and then. The only thing that's holding up is the powder coated brackets! And the paint on the ARB bumper which I have covered with that 3M protective film :grinpimp:

matte black powdercoat, same as my wheels and back bumper! They didnt handle the winter with just rustoleum.

Loud: Why do you need/want the FRBs with your ARB bumper?

no recovery points on it? Just ya know, one reason. Of course I could just get a Slee bumper and not have to worry about recovery points ever again.

No recovery points on an ARB bumper??!! The ARB's I've seen have recovery points...why not your's?

AFAIK, only the regular (no fog lights) ARB bull bar had recovery points for the 100 series. No recovery points on the sahara and the deluxe bar.

I dont think any of the 100 series ARB front bumpers have recovery points.

I just looked at some pictures and you are right, even the regular bull bar doesn't have recovery points. I must have had mixed it up with the 80 series or some other bull bar from ARB.

Correct, no recovery points on the BullBar. I think it's because of the air bag issue. The bumper mounts to a waffle section. Recovery points on the bar would just strech out the waffle section and pull the bumper away from the frame.

So I assume the 80 series ARB bumper that has the recovery points doesn't have the same/similar mount accordion/waffle section? Not that it matters...just curious ;)

The "recovery points" on the 80 series ARB are actually only jacking points. There's an accessory that mates the Hi-Lift and the bumper... sold separately.

I would also be interested in recovery points - my only hesitation is that I still have the OEM front bumper. Do not want to damage it, as I have read this may happen. Thoughts on rear mounted recovery? My other thought is what do you use on a stock 100? Hitch mount? Would appreciate the groups thoughts.

And anticipating Loud's next comment - I have been talking with the wifey about Slee's front bumper... just need to save up for it and that may take a while. Need to know what my options are for the interim.

OK guys, we have a Haas CNC mill at work, and things are pretty slow. I'm sure that we can make these out of either 6061 aluminum and/or steel. What would be the preference? I am going to go ahead and make a set going by the print credited to spressomon, I believe. I found it in one of these threads. I'll see how they turn out and post pics.

Interested!!!!!!!!!!!

Just need to better understand the issue with these installed with an 03+ ARB combo Bar....
