I got it. Trade ya for a Cruiser team back pack.

Thanks for the cleanup fun and nifty raffle shwag!

We left before the dinner out to Payson and just barely found and available room out there for the night.

We picked up the M100 trailer and made it back to Payson just in time to see the FJ Cruisers coming out where the Payette trail road is... Was there a Sunday Payette run?

Anyhow, I've already been modding the trailer and posted some pics in the trailer tech section if anyone's interested...

Who would run Payette with only only 4 trucks? That would be way too much fun!

The clean up went well. as always it was hard work, but we made a difference, the place looks much better than how we found it, to all participants! lunch provided by the club and dinner by the trail team was a feast! Great swag, the tool bags are way cool!

Big thanks to the trail teams and sponsoring vendors.

After dinner the entertainment started, we were setting around, doing what CSC members do best, BSing and started hearing what to me sounded like an animal in distress. As it got louder, closer it was someone yelling and for sure one word was HELP! We started calling back and hauled out to the road in the trucks. We were meet by a pair of guys that looked like they were straight out of a "Freddie Kruger" movie, covered in blood, when I pulled up one of them collapsed across my hood!

Turns out they were in a quad accident and pretty torn up, got an ambulance out there and loaded them up. Made an unsuccessful attempt at locating the family and about the time the ambulance left, sure enough here they come walking up the road, intoxicated mom and a bunch of kids. Very distraught, crying about how she needs to be in the ambulance, plenty of drama for all!

The quad went off the road with enough force to split this big juniper tree and was sitting on it's branches. If not for the branches it would have been at least another 50' down the cliff!

YIKES @ that busted up quad pic...

Why people think drinking and riding around on a lightweight, no traction at 60mph rig on gravel roads next to cliffs - go together, I'll never know.

Did club people winch out the quad or how'd that play out?

The funny thing was - Rob was making jokes about the tiny D rings I had stuck on my ARB bumper rings as a joke - something like "What the heck are those for...you gonna rescue an ATV?"

Wow. What a crazy night that was.

Clean-up went great! We collected ALOT of trash. Sent the FS away with 2 truckloads plus the 2 trailer loads that CSC members took home with them. Cooked up a big hotdog lunch for everyone. Then had a great afternoon dip in the creek with Hayleigh. The water was cold but very refreshing. Did a quick interview for the Eric the cameraman for the Trail Team then held a nice little raffle where everyone in attendance walked away with some Schwagg. Drank a couple beers and told a couple lies before a HUGE dinner was layed out by Maureen from Toyota. The dinner spread consisted of burgers, BIG pieces of chicken, brats, Carne Asada w/ Hatch chiles (ala Offroader5, thanks John), and some elk steaks provided by Yldbill who couldn't be there. All in all it had been a great day... then the madness began. As Kevin said, our second session of telling lies was abrubptly interrupted by the shouts of "HELP!" piercing through the night. I stayed at camp with my young daughter Hayleigh, who was freightened out of her wits by this intrusion, and Norm's boy while a large contingent went into rescue mode and got the situation under control. It was a long late night.

Woke up saturday morning to just a scant few who decided to stay the evening. My plans for a huge crackercake breakfast faded quickly when I realized that my inverter was only about 1/4 the size required to run my griddle (time for a new toy). So with breakfast on my mind we broke camp and headed towards Payson where the thoughts of McGriddles wafted ever so effortlessly through my mind... mmm bacon. POW!!! WHAT THE!?? The thoughts of a wonderfully greasy and heart clogging breakfast were quickly erased by the sounds of a right rear blowout. I eased the Taco over to the shoulder and proceeded to change out the tire and put on the spare. Craig Whipp spotted us on his way towards Payson and stopped by to see if he could lend a hand. We had everything under control so he hung around for moral support. With that changed out and the truck back on the road, Whipp followed to make sure the rest of the trip went without incident. We made it to the local MickeyD's to find that the breakfast menu was still up. OH McGriddle come to Pappa... Not so! Just as I stepped up to order a round of those heavenly little syrup-infused pancake sandwiches for all to enjoy, the big fat meannie behind the counter rolled the lunch menu into posistion with an evil smirk on his face. Alas, burgers it would be. It was an acceptable meal as my burger dripped that clear greasy substance that makes quick work of turning an ordinary piece of wrapping paper into a see through window of goodness. After this hearty meal with friends we were back on the road to travel home without further incident. All in all, a GREAT time! Can't wait to go back.

The link between Homer Simpson and B-man is striking...

Dr. Nick's advice for rapid weight gain:
" Be creative. Instead of making sandwiches with bread, use Pop-Tarts. Instead of chewing gum, chew bacon. And remember, if you're not sure about something, rub it against a piece of paper. If the paper turns clear, it's your window to weight gain. "

I could start my own thread on this...BTW...this is not a knock on B-Man...Homer is a likeable guy.

We offered and they declined, so we left it there. I did climb down and turned the lights and ignition off. Other that broken plastic it looked to be in good shape, full tires, etc, it took the hit much better than it’s passengers!

Hey... I'm a likeable guy too.

I think some of the chairs belong to Pasquale as he asked about them when I talked to him on Sunday.

I think some of the chairs belong to Pasquale ...

He was my #1 suspect. Did he say anything about the condition of the victims?
