1984 fj60 v8 Idaho
I'm going to grad school and need to come up with some big change quick so here goes nothing.
1984 FJ60.
Carbureted 350 mounted to stock 4 speed tranny/transfer case with a ranger torque splitter. For those who don't know, that pretty much gives you the option of a 27% overdrive in any gear. So. with the recent fuel crap, you can still afford to drive it. I currently use it as my daily driver. I average about 10 in stop and go traffic, and 17 on the highway. Not bad in my opinion. Plus the power is nice. Everything runs well. Engine runs strong, tranny and tcase shift well. Torque splitter is great. It has a centerforce clutch that was installed at the time of the conversion. The V8 and all has about 40k miles on it.
The engine is a 4 bolt main 350. Edelbrock intake, valve covers, carb, block hugger headers.
Interior is in good condition. Nice carpet, no cracks in the dash or console. All seats in good shape with exception to the tear on the drivers seat. Carpet was removed in rear and the cargo area rhino lined. Glass and panels in good shape as well as headliner.
Suspension is OME medium with doetsch tech shocks. Rides smooth! I rebiult the knuckles 3K miles ago and fixed the leaky akle.
Has a pioneer deck and kenwood amp.
No a/c. sorry.
Everything works and I love the cruiser. I just have to scrape up 9k by next month for tuition.
Any other questions and let me know.
I'm asking $7500, but am a bit negotiable. The conversion cost me 6k alone, but I know you never get out of them what you put into them. Anyway- I think it's a nice cruiser for that money.
This is the only pic I could find for the moment. I can get others. Just ask.
Oh yeah- It has somewhat of a bullbar that the po put on. I have the stock front bumper if you would rather have that. The bumper on it now serves as a towing bumper. I have the receiver so that it can be towed behind a truck.
I also have a con-ferr roof rack that I would be willing to throw in if the price is right.
Thanks for looking.
