Ron, Tucker, the letters are punched on the top piece with the back plate under? Tucker your front scuffs would read Diesel and the back door scuff PIG. What do you think?

Thanks Bob.

door sill

Would anyone be opposed to a modified scuff plate that is more durable and attractive.

Thanks Bob.

Anything that you make I am pretty sure would be great. I am into tough and rough- that will last. If they are pretty I like that a lot as well.

I don't understand why the factory ones were made of such soft metal.

door sills

I would be in for a set of front and rears as well. Tried a few options but nothing seems to work well.

bob, just picked up a 55, looks like I'll need pans, lower sills, rockers, and maybe rear corners, is that something you can still do?

thanks, Chris

I will say, Bob, if you can pull off these sill protectors, I will be in for a set. It will be a nice change to have someone else build something for my cruiser instead of me.

Picked up a 72 55 last weekend, still doing recon, would like to do frame off restomod. Will be looking for ideas, so suggestions welcome! Rust is prevalent, so looks like lots of bodywork. Original 1F and driveline and works well except brakes. Thinking about disc conv, but need to do more homework on the best way to go. Will work on pics, owe them to Bob too!!

Bob,

I have started cutting some bad metal out of my FJ55 and would like to know what you have for sale and the prices. currently I am working on the drivers floor but will need various pieces. Do you have a website showing pieces and prices or can you email me a list?
