In December of last year we picked up an Fj80 it is probably going to be a dd and trail rig.

Since taking it and breaking it in at RR it’s time for a build thread. So I’m going to back track until today and keep building onto it.

Start 1991 Fj80 with 247k

First order of business was cleaning and removing stickers. The previous owner had a white dog that shed a ton and decided not to clean hair up.

Next thing was getting a set of wheels and tires.Went to James Island to get the stock rims that are 16” that come on the 80s from 93-97.The tire size also went up from 31s to 33” 11.50” BFG KOs.

I finally put two and two together on who you were. Congrats. Was good seeing the cruiser out this weekend. Be careful on those KO's. They are probably pushing 10 years and can start cracking. The KO2's have been out for 8-9 years. Heck the new KO3's are starting to trickle out now.

Thanks,I’ll be sure to be careful of the aging tires. However they look good so far for their age with good tread and minimal cracks if any.
