Next is a 2" lift kit, I have decided I am not building a rock crawler but rather an overland machine that can go anywhere. When I was 18 I took a stock jeep Cherokee through the jeep squeeze and the rubicon, minimal body damage. Pretty sure a 2" lift and 33" tires will get me anywhere I every plan to go. Even if the work turns zombie

That's awesome! That part has two vacuum lines on it. It goes right into the intake.

well it sounds like we have digressed here from the topic but hey...I would just like to add, yes these are very sluggish trucks. I had the same post (concerning low power) after I purchased mine. Get used to driving slow, it is much better that way anyway (stress seems to fly out the window). I drive it like a manual now, only way to go (after mudders suggested). Sound like you got it mostly sorted out.

It turns out mine had a warped head, when weather got hot especially-no power on hills, and wouldnt shift. Also, there is a sensor, or shifting module or something that goes bad on these (I apologize but I cant remember) which I read about a long ways back.

Post cooling system overhaul (including machined head and valve adjustment) and now running amsoil I average just over 13 mpg. I never drive over 65.

Jealous of the 32s so dont fret, 31s are sad looking..lol its a family hauler now

I've never had a sluggish problem with mine. But maybe I'm just used to old cars. I mean it weighs 6500 pounds and it's only a 200 hp motor. That's built for torque. It will never be fast. If u want fast drop a vortex in it

Totally just deleted my cc, it's super easy, there are three vacuume lines that go to the check valve, just cap all three, delete bottom vent hose, and vent gas line to atmosphere, imeadiatly noticed a difference in engine smoothness, but that is probably due to my check valve failing.

Ya I can not delete mine (CA) but plan on swapping out with the auto zone one now. To confirm, symptoms of old/clogged CC are, lack of power, suction strong when removing gas tank filler cap, running rich/black soot.

will the duralast vapor canister (VC120) fit 3FE with no further mods?

That's what I understand, but I don't need it here so didn't try. You may need a new check valve, they can cause vacuumed leaks, but yes those are the symptoms

Did u put any sort of filter or anything else on the line u vented to atmosphere?

But I'll try to help as much as I can. If you have questions pm me and I'll give u my phone number if u wanna talk more

It takes a little modification to get it to fit. Canceling out the line that connects to the bottom of the OEM CC is the easier part. Second you will need a long skinny bolt, washers, and a Nut. The VC120 is slightly larger around than the OEM CC. Using the longer skinner nut and bolt works and looks factory when done. I did kinda of a ghetto job canceling out the bottom vent line, I just used a bolt that fit snug, shoved it into the old line and put a hose clam on it.
