under-hood clearance was extremely tight. after a lot of measuring and removing the insulation, we finally got the engine where it had enough clearance; 1/2" to the rib on the hood. wanted to keep the engine up as high as possible so we would'nt have to worry about oil pan to diff interferrance issues. it's tight on top and on the bottom but it'll work great. engine angle is excellent as well so oevrall i'm super happy with how this combo worked out.
the hood actually closes without having a huge scoop on it!
all the mounts are custom one-offs by don. he always uses suspension bushings in a dom sleeve so the mount is fully "captured". even if one of the bushings shuld wear out or fail, the assy will only be able to move about an inch. alignment is tight but the superrior fab work ensures that the install will go smooth and service-ability won't be an issue should it ever come into play.
if we had to remove the engine and geartrain combo, all we need to do is remove the 3 bolts going thru the mounts and the powertrain is ready to come out.
