1966 Fj45

i would like to find a soft top for my 1966 FJ45 long bed pick up. does anyone out there know if that is a real possibility, or am i just dreaming? i have the hard top off for the summer. i' ve had her for a few months now and am totally having a blast! thank you so much! waywanda*

try ESHAN

80 rear passenger fender flares needed

It's for a 1993 80 if that info necessary.

I need both pieces, green if possible and in good condition.

What 3-puppies is trying to say is, there is a guy that has a shop in Pakistan named Ehsan that makes a softtop for the 45. Another MUD member named Chef has one on his 45 IIRC. He won't be back from the Ramble until next week, but if you do a thread search, you can find pics on it.

I got to see a couple of the softtops that Ehsan makes for the FJ40 when I was in Moab last month. The workmanship is ok, but the owners tell me that the fabric is not of the highest durability. That said, I don't think you can go wrong for the $$ involved.

Group buys are arranged from time to time to help save on shipping costs. The last group buy was placed in January, and we are still waiting for our goods, so this is something to keep in mind too. I have heard a rumour that Robert at Liquid Off Road will start to carry the soft tops stateside, but I don't know if that is true, or when.

Welcome to IH8MUD. You should sign in on our FJ45 forum. :)

Thanks guys but I have some on the way. again thanks if these dont work out I may get back with you.

For rear there is no difference aside from the 79+ 3.70 ratio, and early-77 vs 78 coarse vs fine spline pinion.

For front 68?+ =coarse spline birf, drums,
76-78= odd size fine spline birf, disks, small knuckle stud bolt pattern (less availability of aftermarket birfields and histeer arms)
79- 1/90- standard fine spline birf (same as minitruck and SFA 4skinner), large bolt pattern knuckle studs- high availability of aftm arms

76-78 is more than fine for a street/light trail truck. If you have big birfield breakin plans, 79-later or hybrid axle (any 68+ housing will work with any disk knuckles) is best for aftm avail and spare avail.
