Dumb Question: Where can I get a replacement washer nozzle? I am starting to piece my pig back together and I can't seem to find one, universal that is, that will work. My old one was pretty brittle and broke when I took it off. Any ideas out there?

I might have one!

there's one from a car, i want to say corolla, that you can open the hood up to fit, has a large round base. did it on an old pig hood that i had.

Hey Charles, if you have one that would be great. How are you? You back in BC yet?

Corolla? hmm I did talk to a guy at Napa and he said he could get it for me but it would be like 10 bucks shipping, the nozzle only cost 5 bucks so I passed because I wasn't sure if it would work.

The "FROG" type I was told would not work on a pig, not sure why but I called coolcruisers and they told me it was a no go. Not sure if they are right but they said they get complaints about it not working.

I can get you one, is not original, but new, and most of all it has the right angle they cost one or two dollars, i think, I let you know next

Riddle me this?

I go out to the garage (Manland as the :princess: calls it) to look and see how many nozzles I have thinking perhaps I can part with one. I happen to find 2 but they are of slightly different designs. One is a half round and has a knurled nut that attaches it to the hood and the other is a wedge shape that is held on by a clip that pushes thru the hole in the hood and flares out to retain it.

I'm fairly sure the half round with the nut is from my 1969 hood. I am running the newer style vented hood with the hump on my '69 FJ55. Only problem is my hood does not have the mounting hole???:hhmm: I stripped the hood to bare metal before painting so I know it was not welded up. Where some 55s produced without window washers?

Not trying to hijack this thread but it seems like everyone that has dealt with 55 washers are following this.

My 69 has the round one with the nut too but it broke in the teardown. I got one from CruiserGuy that is going to require a slight larger hole. Not sure on the bump hood thing but I know where one of those are on an abandoned 55 that I will go check out sometime this next week. I'll make sure to look at that. Kinda seems odd that it wouldn't have one though.

Seems that there are three distinct set-ups for the washer nozzel depending on build date

Good information

Ming,

Good information on the 3 nozzle variations for 55s. My hood must be from a model that used the last variation. The dual nozzle set up looks like it goes thru the louver on the hood or thru the cowl that covers the wiper. I have not seen that set up before. Thanks for the info.

I went to Autozone or Pep Boys and purchased a universal nozzle. They worked, not original but functional.

Do you still have the one that is held on by a clip? If so will you part with it,
