They all have stories...That is a cool looking house, but I'm wondering about your garage signs.![]()
A few years ago I built that shop with an apartment above.
Just don’t park the Pig in the dead animal pit! They all have stories...
Wow that front bench seat! I’m jealous. What are you doing for front turn signals? Btw I’ve had mine up to at least 55 (and I still managed to keep most of the fillings in my teeth)Owners Name: David Cousineau
Year: 1969
VIN: FJ5514053
Email: dtc72@cox.net
State FJ-55 resides: Nevada
Any Modifications: Weber 32/36 Carburetor, K&N air cleaner, Man-A-Fre Chrome Exhaust Header, Man-A-Fre Fluid Heatriser, BFG K02 T/A 33x10.5 R15 Tires on Vision D Window Wheels
Bought this three months ago out of the Pacific Northwest. Original 1F engine runs/drives great. Working on a wiring issue to get all the lights working again then need to take care of the rust underneath. Got it up to 50mph yesterday!

Love that color! A little rubbing compound and an afternoon of elbow grease I bet it shines right upWell so it finally happened, a pig followed me home...no rust, perfect patina. I just couldn't resist! It spent it's life in OR on a ranch running the boat up to the lake and has been sitting in the barn since 1992. All original with the exception of an unknown v8 conversion.
Owners Name: Devon Barker
Year: 1969
Insta: @wilburthelandscruiser
State FJ-55 resides: Previously a barn in OR, now CO
Any Modifications: None by me (yet)! PO: Unknown small-block v8 conversion, dope secondary oil filter from the 70's that definitely came from a late night TV ad, killer Oregon hornets in every nook and cranny, one old bottle of half used penzoil, original plates showing last registered in 1992, and 4 non-matching tires.
In know absolutely nothing about pigs so will be lurking around here frequently this winter!
It's pretty much completely stock but my immediate list:
- Start build thread so you can all laugh at my suffering
- Get rid of the v8
- Brakes
- Clutch
- Change out existing tires
- Scrape out 50yrs of ranch dirt from the floor
- New or alternative headliner (tell me about the unobtanium rear cargo window seals?)
- Refurb interior/dash
- Rear window lower wiper (don't have one, need one to keep the rain out)
- Patina preservation!

Thank you! Like most places I’ve looked, these show out of stock, but I’ll start looking at the 40 series options. Mine are shot (and the area on the fenders where they mount is slowly rusting away)Nice, you've owned it for 26 years congrats.! Front turn signals from cruiser corps and a fellow Mudder is working on printing some 55 pedestals. The lights are same as 40's on our older ones.

I’ve seen your rig around, over by Hawkins on 1400 I thinkWelcome , i am in saint george as well
I need to pay your shop a visityes before i moved my shop location over to washington city . View attachment 2350522
I bought a set of new 40 reproductions that are available from several places then ground down the base to the correct 55 angle. My backup plan was to pull the bases from my old turn signals but the grind down option worked nicely. The front bench seat and rear seat both have SOR seat covers so they look good but they really need to be completely redone for some real comfort. As soon as I get my ignition switch issue sorted we should meet up half way somewhere!Wow that front bench seat! I’m jealous. What are you doing for front turn signals?
