FJ55 doors which year? need help

I have a 1978 FJ55. will 1974 doors fit my year? i know they have the vent window, but other than that will they bolt up? Can the vent window be cut out and my glass be installed in the reconfigured door? also, is the hood of a 1974 any different than my 1978?

as for hoods I know that the F and 2F hoods are differnt as the 2F stits alitle higher in the engine bay or rather the carb sits higher so it has a raised section in it.

Wing Windows

I can't help you with the fitment of the new doors, but I can tell you about the wing windows. They come out very easily with 2 screws on the face of the door and 1 screw on the inside of the door. The entire assembly then just pulls out.

does anyone know if the hoods are interchangable? can you put a 74 hood on a 78? and difs?

the hoods will interchange IF you modify for 2F air cleaner clearance. the 74 wont have the "hump" in the hood. the change was very late 74/75.

the doors will interchange IF you swap your curved window channels on. the change was 77

diffs will interchange.
