FJ55 Cup Holders Help!

I hastily grabbed this right before Solid Axle Summit last fall. Back then it was just under $70. Omicron must have caused the price to skyrocket up to $159. I didn't think I'd really like it, but it was a fairly inexpensive solution to get a little storage and cup holders in a hurry for my son and I on that trip. Haven't found a use for the coin slots yet.

It's held in with a center lap belt. I actually quite like it as it gives me an armrest and a place to put sunglasses, handheld radio, knife, gum, snacks and of course the bevies. It's great for now and super easy to remove if we're taking all the kids up to the lake.

If I were starting over on my 55 I may have just done a couple of Scheel Mann buckets and a center console. Although it would have cost me quite a bit more in the end to get the upholstery to match front and back. At the time I wanted to keep it more original with the bench seat. I guess i don't regret it that much. Buckets and a large center console would be nice though.

Yep. I too really wanted the bench seat to keep at least the look original. I didn’t realize how disconcerting it would be to have a seat that only comes up to 3/4 of your back with no headrest…then on top of that no armrest, storage, or beverage holder. I’ve come a long way from riding in the way back in a rear facing seat of a green station wagon without a seat belt as a snot nose kid. LOL
