No problem Jaime. Can you give me the year of your FJ55? I will take more pics as work progress and post them.

Year of the FJ55

JRSTI,

It's a 1971... Keep the pictures coming, I don't want to bother Octavio anymore. Although I'll find that hard to do, I am more than happy with the outcome so far.

"It's MINES"

JRSTI,

Thanks. Some it today, sort of. It wasn't all put together but I was excited to see the progress. Your brother is the man!!!

Dropped off more supplies for the project. :)

I have some questions for your brother... saw some things that looked weird, I am sure Octavio will ease my fears. :whoops:

But all in all, I am happy with the outcome. Can wait for the Engine build phase.

Keep up the GREAT work Octavio

DTF Rules...

Jaime:cheers:

interior ceiling looks wooly.......any of that stuff loose and will fall all over you when on the trail? Nice interior cage.....looking forward to your continued posts on this build!!!

That rear 4 link setup is slick as hell. Is the truss over the punkin of the 14bolt a custom part or no?

My FJ55 Build

Hicruise- Thanks, I am happy with the outcome so far.

Tapage- Don't have the coil rate just yet. But when I have it, I will most definitely share my info. I have no problem sharing my info.

Rome- It is a little wooly, I am planning on getting rid of it. Cage is looking good, I am happy with the design. The brace on the drivers side will need to be moved a little, if I don't move it. I will bang my dome every time the truck shakes, rattles and rolls.

GLTH- I truss is a custom piece, but can be purchased through Blue Torch Fab. Those guys over there are awesome. Their product is design and produce to high standards.

Update:

LT1 is in the bay
Auto meter gauges arrived
Shock hoops are being worked on this weekend

I will post new pictures when I make a little more progress

Thanks again for all the compliments.

What front locker you running?
You spent some major coin at BTF. You running all forged joints?
I see you even got the pinion guard from BTF. If you're interested, Jess at High Angle made this for me - it's a flanged 14 bolt pinion yoke that holds a 1410 joint. You running a flange at the tcase? It allows for a quicker driveshaft changeout. Great progress

Yokes

LC-

On the locker, haven't decided. Thinking about the Detroit elocker or detroit full time locker. I will not be going with a ARB, heard too many issue with them. From unlocking because of lack of air pressure to complete breakage in the carrier.

Got a great deal on the blue torch stuff

Thinking about running 1410 yokes all the way around. What do you think? I want something close to unbreakable... I know everything will break at some point, but I want to get close to unbreakable as I can.

I am running Johnny joints for all my links
