Dam i cant remember. Doesnt this rig have the round support section before the rear carrier. If so four runner mounts up the same way, but then i dont know if ya would want it that far back or not:beer:

This is a 1st gen 4Runner filler 84-89.

The 90-95 did not have a lock in them and the doors were plastic, I don't know about the later ones.

Mines a little bent.... You can open it with the key (If I had one...) or from inside with the pull knob.

I think he sugested it because the hole is angeled down, not needing a 90 elbow right after it. Are the 45 beds a single wall deal? IE No place to hide the filler hose on it's way down under the bed?

How about some pictures so we can all speculate? :D

I think and its only a 2 cent entry:D that if indeed you needed to hack/last resort, this would be the first way i would choose. Yes if my mind is correct there is no natural way to hide the hose. Jim correct me if im wrong but its 2 layers of sheetmetal close togehter, right(FLAT)

Jim if ya dont come up with anything solid i can bring the runner to the wheeling trip next weekend:) Jared was right . I was thinking about the lack of needing a 90.and i was thinking about the mounting set up on the four runner compared to the 45, I belive that they be similer in the way they are bolted up.

If you put the filler just above the wheel well, you could run the hose down into the front or rear of the wheelwell (out of the way of the tire) and only have to hide a short section of hose inside the bed.....

I know you didn't want to cut the bed..... Just an idea.

An LV gas tank would work....but they are hard to find.

OKay, picked up an empty FJ55 rear axle housing over the weekend.
Thanks go to local Cruiserhead Rocky for keeping this junk around that I foolishly recycled recently.

Need to get it cleaned and painted to go back under the truck.
