I wish I had a good way to rig one of these up with a soft top...

We have been working on a roof-top tent design and it is in its final stages here in Pakistan. It will be for all 4x4s and will also have an optional soft top installation kit. This should be ready in about 10-14 days max

I still have a hard time understanding the concept of a rooftop tent in an area without lions or man-eating bears. Rocks maybe?

Everyone has a hard time with them, right up until they use one. For me, it is a better camping/backcountry selling point for the Mrs. ;) :D

You must not have a wife that is terrified of anything that crawls or slithers :D

Come on out west and bring your ground tent.

When you wake up with a big rattle snake in your sleeping bag or scorpions in your sleeping bag you will understand.

Or rainy weather, wet ground, rocky ground, moutian lions, the list could go on and on.

price range?
The rooftop tent is almost ready. The price range would be about US$700-900 excluding shipping. Shipping would be feasable if shipped in bulk of 10-20 tents. I am looking for someone interested in getting them in bulk.

I read the threads that eshan posted, they made me very thankful for two things. Welding companies with the gas in the bottles and the excellent forum we have over here, I can't believe some of the things that were said in the forum, never seen anything like that over here.

Yes, shocked and apauled. The reason I don't wheel with Jeep people anymore;)

Gotcha on the snake thing!!! I don't like em either, we have rattlesnakes here but they are few and far between.
Oh, and scorpions, well I can understand the tent thing now. There's not too much danger out my way apperently;)

eshan, have you guys ever built a trail worth trailer? And if so would you add one of these to the top of it?
