I know this thread is '70s and '80s. This one was taken in 1995. Griffith Park, Los Angeles, California. We were off road with permission from the Dept of Recreation and Parks - no four wheel drive this time! We just drove on a gravel road and parked - it was related to our occupation at the time. Louis in passenger seat. I know it looked hideous, but that was a great FJ40! Should have never let it go, but I owned too many of them and I had no place to park them etc etc.....

I believe all pics from the last century have a place here. They're all film photos (no digital) anyway...
Thanks for sharing nice pic and memories!

Yeah buddy you can have the (rod)s ... l better make sure l have them both. I know for sure I have one of ‘em but unsure about both.
You’ll have to PM me, for addresses etc. l kinda forgot how to do all that anymore, haven’t used “Classified” in many years already. I have some other stuff as well.

A fellow classmate & wild man, Larry,.. owned this little ‘chunkmeister’....! The hunt was near Burwell, Nebraska in 1975, we were seniors in High School.

Prarie chicken wasn’t as tasty as pheasant or quail, they were all dark meat. A lot better eating if they were near corn pivots.

Still have that Marlin 12 gauge pump. Well worn, slides like butter.

Ya had to park on a high point otherwise you could easily get lost, ya wouldn’t think so, but a person could sure get turned around in those hills. These pics were taken on the outskirts of the forest.
