Fj40 Front Diff question - cause I’m too tired to look (1 Viewer)

1978 fj40

I am rebuilding front knuckles and installing warn hubs. Both wheels off ground - obviously

when installing the new warn hubs they seem to engage and both shafts turn when locked and only one when unlocked. This seems right.

but the differential flange does not turn...yes front drive shaft is off-

this may be right or may be indicative of something else inside ...

id rather notopen up the cover..,, I know I know.

so any thoughts?

It’s fine unless you have locking diff. No cover to open on the front either. Lol
