This appears to be Oscar. When I spoke to him at G'smiter last year, I thought that he told me that he was the Ga Cruisers chapter VP for 2008. If I recall correctly, I first met Oscar and his bride 3 or 4 years ago when they attended their first meeting. I am sure it would fit together when you see the faces too.

With a business opportunity like this in your backyard, it looks like you may want to schedule a special meeting at Oscar's place of business so the chapter can see the goods and plan your projects.

Many meetings ago, Oscar brought a trailer full of newly completed parts by for us to drool over. He was very knowledgable about differences in body parts for various years. Also mentioned custom parts was not a problem. I checked some of the welds & contours of the metal shapes, they looked really nice.

The stuff is well made and as nice or nicer than any other repro steel that I have used. The parts come out of Columbia so if they dont have the parts in stock it could take a while to get them. It has taken almost 3 months to date on a pair of rear 1/4s for a 40 that I was waiting for.

Cool.

That is the info I was looking for, and kind of what I figured. I'm not really in the market for repro steel (I tend to take more sheet metal off my truck than I add) but just the same wanted to stay abreast of the cruiser "news," particularly local stuff.

Mike- what's your take on the vertical seam in the 1/4 panels?

The vertical seam obviously isnt factory however his quarter pannels are enough better than the competiition for me not to worry about it. Also you should be able to completely cover it with very little "body work"

Yeah, that is Oscar. Good dude.

It REALLY pisses him off when you get distracted and call him Carlos all day :p (SORRY OSCAR!!)

Oscar drove all the way from his house on the Far East side of the Metro Atlanta area to the Far West of Cobb County to help me install some springs and troubleshoot an electrical problem in my 40. Long before we promoted Help a Member Day. Outstanding Knowlege and Super Great Guy!!!!!! And his wife is really awesome also. ( I wish mine would show up at more cruiser events---- No on second thought strike that---Then I would have to behave!!!)

Hendog ;)
