I'd be willing to bet they are almost identical bodies.
The difference being a few brackets (no coil in the BJ) and hose/pipe clips.

They are not at all, all mountings are different from 1979. No matter is it FJ or BJ.

I do have 1974 fj40 with very good body which i am thinking to install on 1980 BJ42 diesel i am wondering if this can be possible please advise. Thanks
If I'm not missing something, a 1974 body should be easily installed on a frame earlier than mid-1979. Later frames are different though.

I didn't consider the difference in years.
 
The fuel tank on the later truck is under the driver's floor, so I'd think you'd have big floor pan issues unless you just ran the '74 tank.
