Yeah, first thing is to fix the vacuum leak and in the mean time I'll order a vacuum gauge and a timing light.

Is it a FJ40RP-KQ number on the restoration?
So my carb is a 61123 ROW? What does ROW mean and are rebuild kits easy enough to come by?Yes, the 61123 is an 81-84 ROW carb. It is equipped with the factory AC idle up linkage, so probably from an FJ60 w/ OEM AC.
The cylinderhead is a 61010, which I though ended in 1980. I thought an 81-later engine would be a 61050/60 cylinder head? Not positive on ROW applications though.
Luv2fly, your pic is also a ROW 81-84 carb.
View attachment 944752 View attachment 944751 What year FJ40 is that. Being an Australian carb its going to be a bit different compared to the US models as I am finding out, mostly in things attached or not attached to the body. As one of the guys asked what are the production/date numbers on the face above the site gauge?
Is it a FJ40RP-KQ number on the restoration? What is the engine plate number? Some PN were 21100-61122 or 21100-61012 (40/45). Hard to say from the picture on if it is a stock carb for that engine.
I am with a carb from OZ that I am trying to identify for a kit and it looks identical to what you have in most parts. If you ID your carb and rebuild it would you post the kit number you used. Good luck.
In this pic, the left carb is 75-77 ROW 2F. Right carb is 73-74 ROW F engine.

I thought the 75-77s had the AAP installed- was his only for Ca. trucks?
