@ MWSNFJ (your acronym is a bit long Dean LOL ) you should advertise in craigslist... hockey being big as it is in Canada you could make a good side biz of that... trully fine work

I had kinda forgotten about the whole hair thing with hockey... i do miss the guys skating without helmets... however much safer now... i remember that transition when guys were grandfathered in to not where helmets

some of my favorate goalies were habs Steven Penney, Dryden, Patrick Roy

BTW Bobby Nystrom had better hair :) funny how he's shaved now

Sad day... Eiji Toyoda passed away... He lived a long and fruitful life just over 100 yrs to the day

RIP Mr. Toyoda

wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eiji_Toyoda

He lived by the principles set forth by his cousin Kiichiro Toyoda

"Five Main Principles of Toyoda":

1. Always be faithful to your duties, thereby contributing to the Company and to the overall good.
2. Always be studious and creative, striving to stay ahead of the times.
3. Always be practical and avoid frivolousness.
4. Always strive to build a homelike atmosphere at work that is warm and friendly.
5. Always have respect for God, and remember to be grateful at all times.

Five principles may get quoted to replace the inane inspirational posters around the office.

on a much lighter note... drifting in a land cruiser... welllll ... kinda a land cruiser :)

I watched this with the sound off so I didn't realize until the end it was intentional...............I was ready to make my standard recommendation of an inner tube strap around the plastic wheel for traction.

On another note..........
saw this while shopping for plow trucks....................it speaks to me. :steer:

Looks like the one Jim. With these tires and being dually you should great traction for pushing a plow.Real men don't need a top on their plow vehicle this one doen't even have body which you really show what you made of.

Had to save a pic of the other side. A feed trough on the back loaded with sand and rock salt and I'm good to go. :D

Like it. I would like to add a couple of columns for those parts that changed over the first few years. A column for things like double sided turn signals and fj25 front bumpers would be good. That way we can get a rough idea of when they switched. I don't want to stop there, though. I think we should add all those little things that changed as they ran out of/changed parts. Maybe a separate registry for 1961-1964 fj40's.

Was out last weekend checking on the fall colors here in the AZ desert. It just a little early but figured it's about time for the fall gathering back in the northeast. So who going? We expect plenty of pictures.

Must be nice to take a ride and enjoy the colors. :D In CT there's a little more color but this rain (normal fall gathering weekend) is knocking everything down. Maybe I'll start a FG thread.

It's a little early for the colors. Took a quick drive over last Saturday to see where they were at. Over nights temperatures in the mid twenties they will be changing pretty quick. I'll take another drive over if I can get some time off. Fj62 last time. 70 FJ40 next trip. Next year I'll have the white 25 up north or I'm to stop going. :bang: Weather is great this time of year. We did get over fifteen inches of rain this summer so things are really green. Just wish it was still raining so I could be driving around on muddy roads. I sure am jealous if you guys back east.:hillbilly:

you still got a few days to get to colorado for the 3onthetree run this saturday(since 25s are pre-3onthetree, they are allowed too)....should still be some mud, maybe some snow, definitely rocks and washed out trails:D

Last weekend turned out to be a bust. The lows have been in the mid twenties for a while and snow during the middle of the week didn't help. A lot of the maples are dropping their leaves before they turn red. Add to that my mom wanted to go so the 40 was replaced by the 62 since it has seat belts for more than two. Have five grand children this weekend it should be interesting to say the least.

So Ige do we get a 3onthetree trail report? Next year I plan on going somewhere. Need to start planning now. If not CO maybe back to the northeast. Who knows maybe I'll even get to one before JohnnyC.:hmm:

hopefully it will be in toyota trails; almost done with the article.

justin from redline summed it up best as 'absolutely freakin' awesome!'

To be honest I haven't been a member of the TLC for years. Renewal on line wasn't easy and never got a answer on the phone number. In todays world a magazine "for sale" ad is a joke. Even back then you paid a premium for first class mail but that still didn't guarantee you got you as early as everyone else. Wasn't the cost of being a member but didn't feel like going thru hoops. I believe my old number was 2709. Would have to double check that. Won't be against joining again if they made it easier to renew.

So was this a TLC sanctioned event? Is there going to be anything on it here or if you posted pictures else where they wouldn't print a article in the Trials?
