Looking to do that for my BJ40 and need some ideas for rear attachment. I know front mounts to windshield hinge. Thanks for posting pics. Here's my ride:

New Rack and Lights

Thanks for the tips from many on the forum. Also, thanks to My son, Garrett for getting the rack set up!! We also designed an overhead console for the radio/speakers/light switches. Pics to follow.

It takes a pretty nice ride to get me to comment. That's a very sweet looking '40!

Thanks cruiserkreutz! My son and I love this 40, it's been a labor of love! Now it's off to be trail-tested...

Lazman, nice job. Looks like that light bar is welded/integrated with the upper windshield hinge , and bolted to the rack itself. What did you attach the rear tube frame to? You have a beautiful rig. Did I mention nice job? Did you mount to the rear spring hangers?

The light bar is mounted to w/s frame as noted. The rear support tubing (DOM) is mounted to the frame using the roll cage frame connector (added support for full family cage). The rear bars are mounted using removable clamps. The same clamps are used to connect front of rack to the rear. I can remove the rack and still keep the light bar mounted. Really a cool concept...

Yours is one of my favorite '40's! Looks awsome. How 'bout a pic of the rear mounting points. Will we get to see it at the Oct. meet in Bako?

Laz, Oct. 12. Check out the info on the "Events" thread.
