Spring packs are DONE, and made an attempt at getting the rear end lined up as well, but something was OFF!
I measured Center line for the perches off of the original, and for some reason they were WAAAAYYYY off!
So I pulled everything back out, found center of the housing, then the dimension of the leafs and got it all straightened out, so tomorrow I can cut the original perches off, line everything up, jack that bitch up to get my angles, then tack and weld the perches in!

Pics up tomorrow...Gotta go to dinner with my wife and in laws!

Just a couple of the housing while welding on the perches!

Because Im using a 110V, I beveled the edges, prepped the hell out of the welding surface with a wire wheel on my 4.5 in angle grinder, sprayed with brake cleaner and then did TRIPLE passes just to be as sure as I possibly can.

Philos,
Youre right about the improv! Do what you can to get it done!
Thanks!

It looks like you pointed your diff right at the t-case. I'm wondering what you did for a double cardan shaft?

I did the same by the way, and used a front shaft off an early FJ60 and had it lengthened.

Hey Andy,
Im having one built! Now that I have the angles set, Im gonna bolt everything in (AGAIN) and take the measurments, flange to flange and bring it down this week with my rear diff to have the 4.88's installed.
Looks like yours is coming along nicely too!
What made you decide to run the CV rear? I thought you were gonna hold off on that?
