To be honest...
It feels EXACTLY the same as it did with the 4.11's, which is, I presume, the way it is supposed to be.
I get better cruisng speeds on the HWY which is nice and its still a tired old dog up hills. I guess you cant have everything.

If I dont make Rubithon, Im definately going to try and get in sometime this summer!
Rubithon is going to depend entirely on work!

Kieth-Rubithon is the time for a first timer. There is lots of trail support, and many chances for spare parts if needed. If you are doing it this summer, you should go to Rubithon and support the TLCA, even if you choose a run other than the wagon run.

Damn....That's a good point!
Id WANT to do the wagon run, and that would be the primary run Id try to get in on, but its smack dab in the middle of the week, which makes it difficult. I think the best I could do, would be F, S, Sun.

So have you tested the waters with side angles and stability yet now your some 6" higher? Did the articulation suffer in the name of keeping things on four wheels and not the side?
BBCNN will be doing Rubicon, if you aren't ashamed to be seen with us short bus types. We usually go in July.

While Ive just been on little short runs with the rig, the stability at this point has not been an issue!
The articulation is AMAZING, and not even a hint of roll!
Every obstacle Ive been through thus far, all fours, have been planted safely on the ground. I really didnt make any special efforts to prevent body roll except I kept the AAL's in and got the stiffest shocks I could without spending a fortune. In fact, Im not even running sways.
The first side hill I got on, I had some "puckerage" in the process, but it was more of a matter of not being used to to the rig.
All I can really tell you is...I LOVE the SOA so far, and I have not noticed ANY deficits EXCEPT its a bitch climbing in and out of the rig!
I was honestly expecting to really notice the COG issues, but Im pleasantly surprised that I DO NOT!
Then again, someone my get into the rig and say..."holy crap this handles like hell!"

Yeah, I was actually kinda hoping to do that wich'yas! keep in mind though, it will be my first time and Ill most likely need some help!

I did have one issue that needed reworking!
I got my front tabs from Crusier Outfitters...
With the space being limited on the outer ends of the housing, I used only ONE tab for the shock mount in an "FJ40" type fashion...Long story short...the Pass Side started to bend!
The fix:
I had to reconfigure the outer brake hoses (I hate bleeding brakes).
I got the long line from NAPA and bypassed the backing plate direct to the caliper, and made a new bracket for the brake line holder, freeing up LOTS of space to run 2 tabs, as I should have in the first place!
Ill get pics later this eve.
I wasnt too crazy about the way that it was run to begin with, as I mentioned earlier in the tread, but I thought Id run it and keep an eye on it.
Fortunately, I caught it now rather than out on the trail later!

It will be my first trip driving. Everyone is very patient so don't worry about it. And remember if your with a bunch of guys you wheel with all the time eventually their turn will come and you can give them sh*t right back.

Hey Mace!
Sorry it took a bit to get back, but I JUST got back from vacation TODAY!
The measurement is 26.25 in from the ground to the bottom of the frame, just in front of the body mount!
I measured from the ground to the center line of the head light and that was 44 in.
Dont forget that I have AAL's too and new wear pads in the springs as well!

For some reason, yours looked TALLER to me...
Might have just been the roof rack making it seem that way, or the rim BS from yours to mine...
The honeymoon was a BLAST! Its sucked so bad to have to come home!
