Nice build. Are you staying with original Land Cruiser wheelbase?

Cats are gone and the Underdog Racing simulator ready to take over. Still have to find room for the rest of the exhaust and muffler(s).

The PO did all the suspension work and the wheel base is around 110". Hope to end up with a functioning trail/ street rig.

Sweet and agreed... think the 110" to 112" are the way to go. Love the 40.. not a huge fan of the ~ 90" WB. The 80 is ~ 112"

Looks great and keep postin

Wonder if you can get a custom harness from them. So it runs the stock stuff while having the correct connectors for the tranny and motor

dontcha wanna?

Mike you will have a lot more items that are Toyota than GM the SBC only need alt, coil choke if ya have one . the senders temp, oil psi can use Yota as that is all you gauges can use unless yu plan to do new gauge pod.
& still the wiring can b used.

just my $2.worth :D:cheers:

John, I know you were planning on using the stock toyota harness, and I'm in all honesty not sure, and it probably won't fit, but this looks kinda cool, because it insludes everything, But I'm just not sure if the plugs for anything would be the same.. :D

Thanks

they won't

I saw it. If / when I get to re-wiring it, I will get the harness made for the Chevy so that it works with the SBC.......

most all aftermarket harnesses work with SBCs since they are based on GM wiring philosophy - the only harnesses based on Toyota wiring philosophy are those from Toyota or Coolerman (for early 40s)

rewiring with Toyota switches to work requires an adaptation of some circuits to Toyota philosophy, or reuse of the OEM wiring

when I rewired my truck, we found a lot of the OEM wiring was still good, but some had been hacked by POs or was melted due to hacks - you just get better reliability out of new wires
