I've tracked down a set of new genuine 23600-69055 injectors to suit the 1hz motor in my 80 and will be fitting them once I get the time. Got them much cheaper that what Amayama or Partsouq are quoting so jumped on them to take some positive action about the poor idling performance with the motor.

Apart from the fuel return pipe that's prone to breaking are there any other associated parts that should be replaced when the injectors are being replaced?

I'm not doing anything with the injector pump at present but that'll be moving up the list of stuff to investigate.

Its not much point doing one and not the other. If the pump is not making enough pressure to crack the injectors to inject a full charge, the new injectors are wasted.
But with 638k/klms I would have done a compression test first.

I'm seriously thinking about getting a compression tester in any case. I now have a full set of new injectors and injector seats. I also have a tool for setting the injector pump timing (managed to track down a new genuine one).
