All those in favor say "Baa"

I do know that picking on, slandering, etc, those who we don't like, would prefer would go away, doesn't work. Especially if they have been around for a while, tend to dig in and give it a :meh:, while by the same action, we alienate other potentially valuable people.

I for one welcome new ideas.
Nothing will get accomplished without direction except more bickering and weak personal attacks.

Agreed!

Uh, whom better to direct than the Prez? I sure would like to know what the heck is going on, where we're going, and why all the animosity is flowing.

Nothing is going on all is good.:meh:
No animosity here to anyone
Are you going on the run this weekend?
The meeting provide lots of info on the latest.

Threads like this one provide very useful info. In this case though, it merely confirmed a prior assessment.

Anyways: no trail for the LX this weekend. Next up: black clutch w/ 10k fluid and 3FE fan. The current Co-Pilot needs to pass another checkpoint on Monday.
But if 'someone' wanted very badly to try and beat the time it takes to install Marlin T'case gears - well, there's a well-seasoned set on the shelf here... Just saying...;)

Apologies.

Believe I started the chit storm inadvertently, and sure wasn't my intent.

No worries! This is simply Chit for Chat...

I can't make meetings. Never used to be an issue, as anything discussed was rehashed on the forum one way or another. There has been a notable lack of that, and an even more notable excess of comments that would seem to indicate that there are several factions within the club which are at odds with each other. There have been obvious changes to the forum and meets, the reasons are not as obvious. There is an ominous vibe hovering over everything. I can't get anyone to give me answers to questions I post, questions which I believe the answers should be public. Please, start a 'State of the Club' thread and we can have that discussion there- or here, as the OP doesn't seem to mind. Every question I have posted in more (or less) appropriate threads has been ignored or glossed over. I suppose I am a very small part of what has become a large organization, and perhaps I'm the only one who has noticed the changes, or cares. Maybe I don't 'need' an explanation. Fair enough, there are bigger issues in the world.

I will not be making the run, free time is sparse.

State of the club is great! Membership is on the rise. Meeting attendance is strong. June normally the weakest in attendance was one of the strongest showing to date.

Excellent feedback and attendance on the Run of the month. All months until December are spoken for.

As for the "vibe" I have received more positive feedback from members in the last few months then ever, both new and old. If you or any member feel there is something missing or you would like to introduce please speak up. Others have and we now have new CSC swag with more around the corner.

We do have have meetings again but that is not change only reintroducing the way CSC was when we started. Prior to the reintroduction to the monthly meeting new members would sign up and ask whats next. Sadly I would say this is it.:frown: Now they are introduced, acknowledged, display there Toyota, and get a feel of what is going immediately.

I hope I was able to answered your questions.

Sorry Chasetruck for the continued hi-jack:eek:

No problems there. :)

Nice to see the generous largesse extended by the new King of CSC. I knew you would be good for the 'new' incarnation of the club. Now Spike, quit being such a querulous subject. :)

There's a couple of lines drawn in the sand, no doubt about it. Not sure who drew them first, or from which side, but they are there now. For the CSC club at large, none of these matter.

For what's going to happen to our 'new' LX, all that is, of course, irrelevant.

Speaking of which: I'm wondering whether I should drive the truck up Four Peaks again once I've changed out the fan clutch. It got a little warm last time. I'm hoping there'll be an UltraGauge for the LX when I get back to the truck this weekend.
