the running boards needed some attention. blasted off the sand and grime and blew out the dirt buildup in the bottom support rail. the support attachment spot was treated poorly by time as you can see, so had both repaired. you can see the piece that was taken out and the fresh new rail after...

ok so the tub was shot this morning with 1978 sky blue! taken a while, but now i start to see progress haha :bounce:

so the rear of the tub was severely bowed and was unusable. i opted for a new straight, very sturdy heavy gauge steel rebuild. for my use this will be better.

the floor and kick wall will be shot with textured guard that will also be the sky blue. following up with the underside of tub, and any other part that will be exposed to the road.

Baby steps, baby steps,Just get it running reliably, Let the :princess: fall in love with it, then the nickle and dime starts.

skidplate-

true, true ... the dail in on the motor sounds fun :censor: yeah right

i am lucky that it starts the first time, every time right now, im sure there are some gremlins hiding somewhere...

i should post a pic of all my parts, its absolutely ridiculous how they accumulate. i look forward to assembly and needing parts i don't know i need yet... haha :bang:

X2 on the nickels and dimes... refined in the arts of negotiation and justification. You could talk a fat man out of a pork chop and make him feel good about it... Hey, where did my pork chop go????

Congrats on the fj, the project looks like it's coming along nicely. I can only hope I can find one as clean as that.

the seat foam was built up pretty beefy by the PO, so i just replaced the middle part with HD foam that i trimmed up with a handy electric knife...

i was very careful when originally removing the old padding from the rear of the seat back. these, from my research are impossible to find. a few tears here and there on one side, but nothing my spray couldn't fix. make sure you line up the two silver dollar size bumps with the holes in the frame. otherwise you will have some distortion when you cover it up.

single bay garage, all the lights and outlets i need. lets go....

first got to work on all the holes. cleaned threads on all and drilled a few broken bolts out and cut new threads.... this silicone spray made everything alot easier. made sure to label all the holes. i will be planning on turning all bolts a few times to keep them in their place and let me take a full inventory of my needed hardware.
