got the aprons on... they line up just as they were before, with a slight gap... is this the norm?... all other places are perfectly aligned...

that gap looks good to me! its more important for them to be level (so the hood lays nicely) i wouldn't fret over it too much especially if dicking with it to be perfect means a chance of scratching the paint!

that truck looks amazing btw

Clean looking truck it is really coming along!!!

Wow. Your rig is really looking great. I'm jealous. I bought mine about the same time you did last year and I was hoping I would be as far along as you. I read that you are in SoCal I think. I live in North San Diego. What body shop are you using and would you recommend them?

good to hear, looks like a tight fit on everything and i did scratch the paint in a small way with the bib, but will touch up. flat hood is important...

thanks

thanks for the comments... the rig is actually in vegas... but did buy the car in San Diego and plan on having it in cali...

i hear your plea... a good body shop is really worth their weight in gold...

ps... i though it would be done 7 months ago... hahahaha yeah right

Very sweet fj! Welcome to your new addiction.

i have been really bad at taking pictures as i assemble... i just get in the zone and go for very long periods of time, i looked up and decided to catch up my thread...

lots to report...

-got the bumper back from paint and installed the various hardware and brackets...

-windshield and hood plus all associated hardware...

-wipers, motor cover sprayer... (my washer motor does not work, even if it did the reservoir cant hold a drop of water ;p also i have not a clue what happened to the wiper motor connector from the harness???? need to figure that out...)

as embarrassing as it is..... i was putting the windshield in a couple nights ago and i pressed a little too hard and busted it... :bang:

so... i went back to the glass shop had a good laugh about what i did, then a good cry about spending more money...

since i will be running with no top... i threw on the tailgate that the PO gave to me, i never thought i would use it, but im glad i gave it to the painter...

the rear tire carrier is fully installed and fits pretty well... :)

the rear license plate holder is wired up and waiting for its silver caps...

i sat in the car and played will the hazards, back-up lights, brake lights and turn signals for longer then i would admit, taking it all in!

im not really happy with the tension of the windshield latches so i have to figure something out... (also put some rubber washers under to protect the paint...
they are from SOR... so are the hood latches...

pads were from CCOT and fit very well...

lvshust,

looking really nice ! Had the same problem with the hood latches, check out this thread for a solution :

I did the same for mine and it worked out perfectly. Got my plastic bushings from Lowe's.
