love the pink piping on the seats :flamingo:

back after my holiday time back east. the body shop was able to get some some work done...

welded holes from fenders and extra holes in doors...

need to have some random holes welded up on the dash and then the awful homemade rhino lining can start to come off.

infortunately during the removal of some parts, i severed the top inside radiator hose and you know what happens next, a river of coolant... awesome :whoops:

thinking about running a cheap hose in place so the car can run to move from place to place at the shop... thoughts?

No rest for you my friend. You have a great project in front of you. Just take your time and have fun.

Oh, when it is time to buy a "parts" cruiser to feed this one, it doesn't really count as another truck. It is only a big unmoving pile of precious metal.;p

sad you welded those "extra holes" up on the door they were for the factor side mirrors!! o well awesome truck! good on you for fixing everything before it gets worse keep it up!

??????? my factory mirrors used the upper hinge bolts. No extra holes...........EDIT>>>>> remembered my 79 had the hole in the door style. Well at least he has the hinge type so he has mirrors when the top is off.

i like the hinge mirrors, think ill hold on to em when i do blow the doors off...

funny how the more i dig, the more this seems to becoming a frame-off lol...

not what i wanted, but i am a diseased perfectionist...

just do a frame off - its excellent therapy

you might want to consider replacing the rain gutter rather than trying to patch it up

so after taking out much or the interior and a few more weeks the body shop has dug in. the initial job of welding up weird holes has mostly been done. sanding off primer to see what the metal looks like and... it looks great :)

a few pin holes in door frame. the PO installed some earlier model apron emblems that left some holes that will be filled. you can still see the original bolts that were broken off for the correct emblems. also covering up the factory installed radio antennae, i will be going with an XM setup.

also appears that a couple of doors came off a donor car, driver door, rear ambulance door. the hood is a question... it has the holes drilled in it for the hood ornament that i will also have filled.

next will be first primer, then disassemble for final sanding and primer. the interior will also be sanded down to bare metal.
