Wow! That is one beautiful lookin ride! Congrats man! Definitely a score.

Have fun, needs some mud asap

Nice ride! What is that box beside the brake booster and the blower?

One of the cleanest FJ6x's I've seen to date, congrats. One warning - start looking for a 2nd job to support your soon-to-be psychosis and a support group to help you maintain some degree of sanity, lol. Beautiful ride and again, congrats.

Welcome to the addiction, very clean rig.The only thing i find blinding is that intake tube i would toss it if it was mine and get the factory air cleaner.
Check out the $50 or less mods a lot of stuff you might like and make your ride better,i highly recommend doing the HVAC intake filter.BTW what size tires are you running and where in the Bay area are you located?

I agree, leave the OEM body chrome as is, it looks very classy with that body color. I have blacked out a few bits on our blue 60 but on the champagne 62 I love the look of the chrome and left it alone. Murdered out works well with some colors not as well with others IMOP

Good eye. What, indeed? My favorite color for a 62. Very nice. Another vote for stock air cleaner assembly.

My 2 cents on blacking it out... IMO I don't like blacked out grills, headlight bezels, etc on that color 62 (looks to be same as mine) but I decided I cannot stand the chrome trim around the windows, gutters and the snake blinders/rocker panels. I removed the gutter and rocker panel chrome and replaced the window trim with rubber gaskets and for the remaining window chrome I painted it flat black (it's been about a year with no chipping/issues). It's a very subtle change but I think it really breaks up the chrome without going 100% black and presents itself more rugged.

Also, admiring the pics again I don't see a trans cooler - if you don't have an aux cooler installed that should be one of the first things you do especially since you've mentioned 'engine and trans rebuilds'.

Again, nice ride! :steer:

Well, just for comparison, here is what it looks like with the grill etc. blacked out on a grey 62....

I kinda like it

Looks just like something from TLC. Nice find. Congrats.

Great idea on the trans cooler ... Going to look into that for sure.

Love the truck. Congrats.
I've posted another thread relating to my friends FJ which is almost identical to this, except nowhere near as clean. It also came from TLC and lives quite close in the Valley. Here's the question, did the TLC guys fit that intake and filter as it looks very similar to the one on my friend's FJ and is also right behind the battery thereby no access to cold air. I think it's actually reducing performance by just sucking up hot engine bay air but could be wrong. Any info from the TLC guys or did you ask? Thanks and well done again on a fine purchase.

Keep in mind nice OEM trim a VERY expensive nowadays, no aftermarket.

holy s***e thats pretty.
