Hey just got a LWB FJ45 today and was wondering if anyone has a good frame for or bed for sale. My frame on my 45 is in bad shape and didn't know if I could use a FJ40 frame and cut & weld it into the 45 frame. Wasn't sure if I should try to just find a 45 frame or make something out of a 40 frame. Will take any suggestions and advice since this is my first time owning one and will take any help I can get from you guys. Will put up some pictures of it later

I thought cruiserparts north of you still has 1 listed for sale.

the 40 and the 45's front part of the frame is identical at least back thru the rear bellhousing mounts, maybe a bit further back, then it would be different.

Hey I have a good 40 frame, so maybe I will go that route. Tried looking on cruiserparts, he had one and told me he wanted 1800 for it, haha there fxxxing crazy !! I would rather give my money to a Mud member than those guys. I'm not in a rush, so if anyone has a good 45 frame and wants to sell it let me know

I'm looking for one too! No luck so far:grinpimp:

Yea I've learned having patience works out in the long run, so I'll just wait it out and see what happens

I had the same problem and was able to use an fj40 frame. took lots of bending and welding but it worked really well. the frame was put together just right behind the cab. good luck, the fj45 is the real deal.
I have a 1965 under restoration.

No shortage of those frames in Australia and the cost would be MUCH less than $1800. Shipping my be an issue though. You could ring my wrecker buddies in Adelaide and see if they are shipping anything else Stateside in the near future and wheat the cost would be. Ask for Rodney at +61 8 8359 4499.

Also, Aqualu makes aftermarket frames. Not sure how much, but they'd be brand new.

Yeaaa just got a tailgate for the 45 last night and its matches my truck haha. It has some dings and small dents on it, but its not all rotted out and I drove 5 minutes down the road to get it, so you can't beat that. Will put some pictures up of the tailgate tomorrow. Hopefully going to start taking the truck apart next week, can't wait to see how much fun its going to be to get rusted bolts off from 1965:deadhorse:

Nice truck. Keep the pics coming.

You might want to buy stock in WD40 cuz you are going to use a bunch of it.
