Pretty! Doing it this weekend? I'm excited for you. I like doing that kind of stuff!

No not this weekend. I still need to order the damper, some sway bar stuff from Slee and Landtank. Plus of course I STILL need to decide on the stupid shocks. Its my last major purchase for the lift.

....until tires :bang:

This will be the last time the bottle jack is useful.

I just used my bottle jack last weekend to lift up my utility trailer which blew a tire. The lug nut wrench even fit the wheel nuts...too bad I wasn't carrying a spare tire:doh:

I went with the TJM bars, they are rubber bushings with a nice steel sleeve.

Can't find it now but when i was looking i found a site that said they were rubber. I also made a call and checked...If they are NOT rubber they sure are NOT hard poly....and they are a GREAT $$ too!

I am in a similar boat, waiting for springs to ship, need upper rear arms and then i think i am going Fox Rem Resiv shocks 2.0....I don't see the need for 2.5"? I will not be doing more than driving to the trail and slow trail driving, no expedition type driving so I don't think my shocks will overheat!

Everyone I've been talking to has been steering me to Fox 2.5". The larger bore sounds good to me.

I am just wondering WHY? I understand well how shocks work as i sell them everyday in my biz but what is the advantage? Are you doing high speed offroad?

I know the price is quite a bit more and the guys at DSM didn't think 2.5 was necessary...?

I'm not sure how the valving/internals work but it was my understanding the 2.5 are more "tuneable" for our heavy rigs.

Hmm....Can't seem to find any threads on the Fox 2.5s. Just discussions but no installs.

Radflo 2.5's

FTW.

Ordering mine, now.....as soon as Glenn and LT figure out valving, or whatever else may need to be determined to keep my discriminating butt dyno happy.

By the way, there's more involved with a 2" vs. 2.5" discussion than just the shock. The coil also has some bearing on, but I don't know the magic formula.

Not width of the coil right?

The tabs are for a completely different issue, you will still needs blocks for the front.

For people who do wheel their 80s aggressively the front axle tabs can and have torn off of the axle. When this happens the sway bar gets driven forward and shears the brake hard line in front of it. Resulting in no brakes.

These tabs get welded on in place of the stock ones.

I have these on my wife's truck. Both of the originals got killed. One on the Rubicon and one on Cliffhanger in Moab.
