haha
I got them cheap HID kits, many moons ago... it ended up being $40-50 a pair and I got them for my
HIGHs, LOWs & FOGs
for something like $160-180 shipped.
I've had had them in for 3 years. All of them still work, ended up going with 8,000k for the blueish white light. Rocked the 4000k for a year before changing to the 8,000k.

I installed all the 3 ballasts to the sheet metal below the headlights.

I installed the ballast inside/behind the corner lamp.

I'll be buying another 2 sets.

I found the 10mm captive nut when I was in there. Looks to be the best bet.

I also tore apart the drivers head light to get the gallon of water out of it. Cleaned the glass with acid and re assembled after cleaning

Tapatalk is kinda cool!

I just got back from a drive out a country road, ya they are fawking cool as s***!

I need 4 more and as far as the pattern on the wall thing, I have no idea what thats all about other than leveling?

back to the lights, they are fawking great, I just can't get over what a HUGE improvement they are.

Any advise on the High's? I like the 6000 as I like the white light so keep the same yes?

What is the secret to keeping the fog lights on with the brights?

Did I mention the HID's a bitchen?

grounding a single wire in the steering column. You can thank Sincity100 for figuring it out. Pin 17 i think it was? Its in the FAQ. Couple minute job.

https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series...using-factory-fog-light-wires.html#post915002

They only lit when the low beams were on..they shut off when the highs were engaged due to the original factory design of the fog-lamps..

Well here`s what I did to get around this little "problem"....

I removed both halves` of the "clamshell" surrounding the steering column..

One gold phillips scew (aimed at an angle towards the driver underneath the steering wheel)..and then I turned the wheel left and right to reveal two more black phillips screws ( also facing the driver)..Then I "pulled" apart at the halves, separating them... NOTE: It might be easier to do this by first removing the dash panel (below the guages and behind the column)

Then I located the connector that plugs into Comb-switch, it is referred to as " C-16" in the Factory Toyota EWD, and is the 17 pin white plug on the left side of the steering wheel facing UP..

I then REMOVED pin #17 from the harness connector with a very small flat head screwdriver by carefully prying up on the pin retainer...wire/pin #17 is a Red/light Blue wire and is in the VERY BOTTOM RIGHT of the connector as you are looking AT THE CONNECTION SIDE AND PINS, WITH THE RELEASE TAB ON TOP ... You will also notice that this Red/lightBlue wire just simply "loops" right back into the connector as pin #10

Then I simply cut off the pin on the end of the wire, and ran it to a good ground.

BTW..The wire is JUST long enough (after you cut the pin off) to crimp on a small eyelet and attach it to the metal tab that hangs down from the column that the GOLD phillips screw (you removed earlier) screws into..

Now my new Hella lights work just like I wanted them to..With the factory wiring, the factory relay AND with
the factory switch... on both low AND high beams !!

HOW FRIGGIN` EASY WAS THAT ?!

They look like any other kit out there, Sealed housing and the best connectors make it a pretty good plug and play kit.

Bull Cruiser, I prefer the 4000k color temps.... 8000k is not sexy at all. Screams "Pull me over!"

I used the 6,000 and love the white color.
