Fiberglass top spider crack repair (2 Viewers)

I'm just getting into the top repairs and the fiberglass is covered in spider cracks. I did some reading up and common repair is to take a Dremel to all the cracks then apply gel coat. There are so many cracks I think I am better of to sand all the gel coat off and apply new gel coat. Anyone have any experiance on this repair?

I’m working on this same thing. What did you end up doing?

I sanded nearly all the gelcoat off, gouges eachbcrack with a die grinder and filled with fiberglass. Sanded that down then Coates with gel coat. Let that cure the sanded it and uses 2K primer to fill minor imperfections. Was a TON of work.

Yep. That’ll be my plan. Your rig looks great!
