Pretty good week this week. Got the engine, transmission and transfer case back on the chassis which gives some room to start on the body. So far, the tub is as rust free as expected. I had 2 areas that needed patches welded in (left quarter and...

Got it back on its feet again. Drive train is ready to go in with the exception of a throw out bearing. Should be in tomorrow and ready for install next week.

Got the frame cleaned and coated with POR15. This is the first time I've used the semigloss...still wouldn't leave it without a final tip coat but I do like the product.

Making some progress on the tear down. Removed the engine yesterday and got the tub off today. Plan to strip the frame of everything, clean and refinish. Not sure if I will have it blasted and powder coats or wire brush and POR15.

Thank you for sending my way. Could I get the width from where the inner and outer fender come together to the outer lip as well?

That is one well used 40. It's too dark now, but if you don't get any takers before light-time tomorrow, I'll crawl under mine for you.

I'm hoping someone can help with some front fender dimensions. When I picked up my 1975 FJ40 it had an accident repaired years ago on the right fender and had since been rolled and bent both fenders. I could replace but would rather save these...

I have a few parts I am planning to junk but they still have some life left in them. All free but you have to come get them. All off a 1975 FJ40. Windshield frame-bent from being on its side but bottom is very usable if you have one that is...

The OME suspension arrived today and I got the rear installed. Front will be a little bit as I am swaping the knuckles to disk and reseal everything. Seal kit from CCOT arrived today as well. Got the first peak at the ride height and new wheels...

Agree with @pb4ugo Clean it up with a die grinder and as long as you can get a seal in the end, run it.

Found some damage inside one end of the axle. Anyone ever seen damage like this and should this axle be used?
