Correct. And any registration or log in with a dupe IP generates a notification for me to investigate. This catches numerous attempts by users to run multiple accounts. (tho I do also note exceptions for multi-users in the same home, or visiting friends)
Additionally, EVERY post edit is recorded and kept in history as well. And as many already know, no thread ever gets deleted (tho some may be relocated to my private Legal area)
My attempts to contact Troy over the past few months have been in vain as well.
This is clearly theft, and I am not sure about how to police this, but from what I am reading it looks like the total loss on this is easily several thousand dollars, possibly tens of thousands across multiple forums. Does anybody know or is anyone an attorney that could possibly draw up some paperwork to send him? I know you guys tried, but has anyone actually got any kind of list of all the folks who haven't gotten their lights? I wish I knew somebody that could help.
As I posted earlier I will be passing through Jupiter. If anybody would like, I can stop by and ask Troy in person if he will cut me a check to reimburse the members of IH8MUD, Tacoma World, Toyota4Runner.org, and many, many others. If I do, I will have a police escort. I'll probably end up doing so anyways.
Unless he is in Vegas at a strip club, relaxing at the beach, or doing other fabulous activities with money that belongs to other people...

I hope you realize that you destroyed the bussiness opportunities for small LED retailers...money that paid for my tuition, money that put food on my table and put a roof over my head each night, money that allowed me to enjoy my life and support the MUD community. Money that helped support a mission that's main goal is aiding those who need help, medical supplies, and good in Africa. You didn't just hurt a few people, you have effected many more outside of the community. I'm sure you don't care, I bet that free line of drugs off the strippers ass feels great! I'm sure the hard working guy that sent you $1,000 doesn't mind! Why would he?
If this is how you want to be remembered Troy, keep it up. I lost over $5,000 and still owe $3,000 to a CC company. But I REFUSE to ignore my customers, I REFUSE to disappear like a little boy. I REFUSE to treat the people that support the 4WD community...I want this thread, your username, your "business", and your name gone out of this community. I want the victims of theft to move on, and I want you to disappear from this community for as long as I am a member. I've been a member on IH8MUD since 2008, I have never seen a piece of work like you before. I'm not trying to shamelessly plug my lights by saying this, there are many vendors on MUD that sell similar products (Southeast OverLand, KMC, Exploration Outfitters, etc). You have hurt us all...

Guys, you need to get the authorities involved. He accepted money across state lines. He is in felony territory. I personally know someone here in town that did pretty much the same thing only on ebay. The Secret Service got involved and he did three years. In my limited experience this may be a prosecutable offense.
I've kept fairly quiet as I have been ordering from his supplier for several years too. In fact the factory is aware of his shenanigans. He has hurt us all.

Wait a minute so you know for sure that the factory met his demand and the only at fault here is this guy?
After all the excuses he posted here blaming on the factory not meeting his demands and messing up the orders now this is something we didn't know at all, I feel sorry for all those involved with this clown that lost their hard earned cash, I was about to order myself a couple of lights but due to funds being too damn tight I couldn't place my order on time.

because of stuff like this I only go through paypal when paying for items (never a gift) and always mark a calender upon purchase. If I don't get it in working order within the refund time limit (I think 30 days?), I contest the charges and always get a full refund.
This process has never let me down.
I hope the best for all those whom lost funds in this, so sorry to hear.

Has anyone contacted the authorities? This guy ran a scam on hundreds of people and stole thousands of dollars. Don't let him get away with it. Or get together a bunch of guys and sue him.
