Factory zinc or paint? (1 Viewer)

Can someone tell me if the rear parking brake assemply on the axle is zinc coated or simply painted at the factory? It’s a 1982 FJ40

Would have been yellow cadmium plated....so much better than zinc plating.

Not sure but in aircraft a lot of stuff was done with zinc chromate
I see its now on the list of bad stuff too. But you can buy it on Amoron
