Hello all. Been a lurker for a while, but finally signed up last week. Such great info.

I was looking to replace my small rear seats with the larger rear seats so I can get 4 people (kids) in the rear of the 1970 FJ40. I am not having any luck finding any locally so I am thinking of taking the stock rear seats and extending them. I have access to some great welder friends.

I was wondering what the stock measurements were for the larger rear seats.

Thanks for any input.
PS Just bought the Toyota last month, so some changes are in order. (loose the stripes and the white doors)

Someone must have a long set to trade.

A rear bench will seat 3.

Specter Offroad sold a kit to use with longer jumps and a rollbar. But it was also for a cruiser that came with longer jumps seat. Switching jump seats isn't that hard to do. More work to find a good set. Anything but local and shipping drives the price up.

There's a set at Jim's Yota Yard (or whatever they're called post-divorce) here in Denver. I saw them yesterday, needs upholstery, but looked decent aside.

Those stripes are AWESOME!

I'd be interested in buying the doors, if you're selling.

It even becomes more expensive buying from a business out of state. Being in the Phx, AZ area I would look local first by starting a thread in the classified section. I have shipped to other parts of the country because I was in AZ. What passes as a little rust in other parts of the country is scrap metal here.
