I'm also looking at this, someone out there knows something.

Order a sample. I did. The fabric was cut-pile, not loop (as they said it was), and was shedding fibers all over the place. None of the greys matched my interior. Also, if you look closely, you will notice that there are no cutouts for the shifter or the e-brake. I assume the slits for the cargo tie-downs are also not there, and I wonder what else is missing?

YMMV but YGWYPF.

I'd come across this website a few times and been curious myself. Then I stumbled on one of @reevesci threads about the kits he sells. When I read about his process and care he put into sourcing his kits, I was sold. I felt his prices were more than fair once I saw the work that went in to sourcing & getting them to the US. He's also a member who will talk to you about the product and answer questions and be helpful. I have yet to install it as once I ripped my interior out, its been down the rabbit hole I go with random unforeseen repairs. Like holes that don't belong and small rust areas. I've got all of them addressed now except the behemoth, the infamous wheel wells. Where they hold the rear seat in place. A location that almost eveysingle one of these must have a rusty hole in, including mine which is virtually rust free. On a scale of 1-10 and 10 being OEM I'd say his are an 9 pushing 9.5 on quality of the carpet. The only noticeable difference in his kit is that it only has the heel protected pad and not the right side foot protector under the driver peddle. No biggie. Another thing to note is that it does not come with Jute Padding so you'll need to source that yourself. I got a 3 yard roll of it at my local upholstery shop for about $12 books a foot, if I remember correct. So not the cheapest way to go but I guess it all depends on your needs. The job is so tedious once you get into it that you certainly aren't going to be happy with some s*** rug you paid little, money for. Just my opinion. I keep meaning to start a thread on the job. Guess I better get to that.... sorry for the long winded response.

@dnp carpet set is close in price to stockinteriors but much much closer to OEM. He has a carpet thread on here. Loop pile, fully surged edges and factory cut-outs. Also comes with the jute already attached where Toyota had it. Great product and a great guy (David) to deal with.

Man, that's the move then. Not having the jute in tact sort of blows. That would make me seriously reconsider my purchase.

These are made by Auto Custom Carpet (ACC) @dnp has a better price then on the website so go through him. I swear by ACC, I have used them in everything from a Bronco to a fully restored 1970 Chevelle. The carpet is top notch and ACC is a great company to deal with. Never once have I had a problem and they were as good or better than OEM.

I have both the Trail Tailor and the ACC carpet. The one thing about the dnp/ACC carpet is there are 2 versions. 1981 - 10/1985 and 3/1986 - 1990. FJ60/62 complete OEM-style carpet sets

Seems the floor pans changed at some point and they are slightly different. I saw that with the TT carpet. every part fit perfectly, except under the front seats. it was a little higher than stock and looked bulky.
As well the dnp/ACC kit included the wheel well covers in carpet which was nice. If you want it more OEM style TT has the covers in vinyl as well.

I am fitting the DNP/ACC carpet this weekend so we will see how it is vs the TT carpet. I will be installing the full carpet and that will give a good comparison.
Please do not get me wrong the TT carpet looks fantastic, for me it was the fit over the seat mounts that bothered me, I would have lived with it as you cannot really see it, but hey for the price of the ACC carpet it is worth the try. I will keep both as I cut up the front of mine to fit around the shifters and heater, etc. The cargo area for one will end up covering a custom platform.

@dnp thread on the carpet has some install pics and prices. I am one of those who bought the carpet but hasn't gotten around to installing it. It is good quality stuff and from what I have seen in posts the fit is great. Whichever version you use I think its important to buy from a vendor here if possible. They have put a lot of time and effort into having options available for us and without our support those options will disappear

Thanks for the replies - would love more pics and reports back if/when folks get to it. An install + pricing thread would be killer.

Good to know there are a few reasonably priced carpet options out there.
LOVE your A-Frame...Have 1 myself :)
