How far does this stick out compared to the stock bumper? What about thickness? Stock bumper, top to bottom, vs. exe-one. Looks good, but seems a little bigger than I thought.

It does come out further than the stock bumper, probobly by about 1 to 1.5" or so would be my guess If you would like to go messure the stock one you could compare. From the apex of the grill forward our bumper sticks out about 8". From the top of the bumper down to the transistion, Where it starts to angle underneath, is about 8" also total thickness top to bottom is about 13 inches. This is in order to allow for the use and easy access of a winch that has a integrated solinoid. It also sits up alot higher than the stock bumper and alot of other bumpers out there. so you still have a very steller aproach angle...


Edit: Don't worry Kath... Once you've got 35's and 3.5" of lift everything will look perfect

Just 34's. Already got 'em on my stock wheels sitting in the garage. I have cut the front body mounts and am already running 33's, so I shouldn't need 3.5". The lift I'm getting will be right around ~3" in the front.

They are Toyo Open Country M/T's in a 295/70-17. They are on my stock wheels. They fit on the spare mount, and the back window still opens The tires on my black wheels are Toyo A/T's in 285/70-17.

That size of the M/T's are not listed on the Toyo site, but they do make 'em.

That looks better than using a 33x12.5 tire. Seems most clearance issues are width related... A couple more questions:

• Toyo doesn't list a 295/70R17 in the A/T either. Would you happen to know if they make that?
• Are you planning on using spacers on the stock wheels?

Looks like Expedition One has found a solution to moving the AC line:

good news! We found a solution that allows the bumper & winch to fit without having to move the AC line! I'll post some internal structure pics as soon as the adjustments have been made....

I installed the allpro bumper on my sister's FJ and it was not that hard to bend the AC line. It is very very long and quite a bit out from the rad so I was able to brace the junctions and bend it gently with my fingers. No issues that I know of in Atlanta heat, so it must have worked fine!

Plus, if you want to keep the front face of a bumper closer to the truck, bending this line is a good idea, otherwise you will add inches to accomodate a winch just to prevent bending something that can easily be bent.

This is true. We have figured out a solution that doesn't require bending the AC line though. It does require the bumper to stick out probobly 3" or so more than the one you installed, But it also allows the use of and integrated solinoid winch which is a plus for alot of people...

Even still the approch angle is way better than stock, and equal or better than many of the other designs out there, but I have no problem saying the one you installed probobly has the best frontal approach of any that are currently out there right now...
