I know several of us have wheeled at Moab with Dave Connors. He goes by DMC here on 'Mud and was/is a member of Wasatch Cruisers out of SLC.

Dave left a few days ago for a solo expedition to the tip of Argentina. He built his 80 for the trip, quit his job, and headed out. He is keeping up his website and a blog.

Sounds like a great trip!

Sounds like a dream trip. Wish I could do that.

I met some guys on motorcycles a few years ago in Baja. They came down from California, went to the tip of Baja, were going to cross over on the ferry at Loreto, go up to Copper Canyon ... then all but one was coming home. The one guy was going to South America, solo. He said this is a trip he had done before. I didn't realize the politics going through Central America would be safe enough.

Dave was trail leader on Saturday for Kanes Creek at CM06 (my first CM)

I believe SteveL and maybe David Lawrence were on that trail that day. Can't remember the others but it seems like we had 4 or 5 HDC trucks that day.

He built new storage for the interior of the truck so that everything could be put out of sight and locked; at least with small padlocks. The expedition section on 'Mud is building a good series of builds. Not as good as the ExpeditionPortal.com site but the section on 'Mud is mostly Toyota information.
