I've never seen that stair step accessory and thought it was super cool. I once had aspirations for a rooftop tent setup but Danise's balance and stability is not adequate to safely ascend and descend from one. Maybe the stair step accessory would make things safer for her.
I like that too. If you have ever slipped and fallen through a ladder you know that it is a real bad thing. I wouldn't want to wake up early in the morning needing to pee and slip on a dew covered ladder.

This morning, before leaving camp, I shot a few photos of a fur that was leaned up against a tree near a fire pit that had not been used for some time (fire restrictions). Does anybody know what this is?

1 mile of baby heads off the NMBDR.

I need to thank Larry for introducing me to "baby heads." I frequently use that term with folks outside our group to describe a miserable road. This tends to get me goofy looks.

I am not sure if you guys ran into the road closure (FR 141). The notice indicated May 5th to start rebuilding a bridge. I had to backtrack past the fire lookout tower and take FR 191 (yes, its red on the NMBDR). I think the NMBDR had made mention of the closure, but I failed to pay close enough attention. Anyway, two hours of baby heads - grueling!

Nice secluded camp - 1 hour SW of Reserve. I don't think there are any people within a 30 mile radius. Heading towards Grants tomorrow.

That area west of Reserve to the AZ border was first class. I need to go back and run the roads back and forth.

I was worried of the same thing, so I used grip tape and covered each step going down the front and back as well. It makes a huge difference.
