Good day fellow Mudders, it is with sadness I am posting up my great ‘98 100-series for sale. She is a Mud truck thru-and-thru as I bought it on here 1.5 years ago from the original owner. A change in life direction has me downsizing, pretty simple. I know I am going to be filled with regret once she is gone. And whoever picks her up will have one of the best.

History of the vehicle is simple...bought new in Denver and split its time between Denver and Phoenix as a summer/winter car. Sold to me in Oct ‘16. Much love to AZJayBird, he was the best first owner a vehicle could ever have.

Here are the highlights.....

-LC is located in Albuquerque, NM
-173K miles
-SW Cruiser; not a SPECK of rust
-Never in an accident
-2 inch thick folder of every single maint record
-Always garaged and serviced on time
-Has the rear locker

Here is the nitty gritty.....

-A/C will freeze you out
-All power equip works perfectly. Including the sunroof and seats. And the keyless entry.
-Radio is fully functional and I have a Bluetooth adapter
-Tires have roughly 20k miles on them. Spare was bought new with the other 4 and is set up for a 5-way rotation.
-Recent maint items include rear brakes and the starter.
-Timing belt done at 95k and will be due up for another at around 200k-ish
-I cover everything I can. Dash. Steering wheel. Seats. All are perfect under their covers. The seats will freak you out how nice they are.
-Set of brand new Toyota floormats come with. As do 2 keys/fobs and touchup paint.
-Upgraded Philips headlights and interior LED lights.
-Comes with everything as new. All books/paperwork/owners manuals. All original jack/equip.
-I’m sure I’m missing some things, if you have any specific questions just let me know.

Here is what is "needs"....

-the antenna mast has broken from the motor. The motor works fine, you can hear it, but it needs the mast replaced.
-the wind shield has 2 pebble strikes and a crack down in the far passenger corner. Replace at your leisure; it’s far out of line of sight.
-Bumpers have rub marks on all 4 corners. I tried some touch up paint but used the body color. Oops. Once again, address at your leisure.

That’s it. It drives like an absolute dream, at any speed. No leaks. No adventitious noises. No shimmies. No shakes. No excuses. Fly in and drive her back to Maine or Alaska, no problem. This one is truly special. It’s hard to find ANY car this nice at 20-years old, much less a LandCruiser. She shows pride of ownership and the next owner will be VERY proud to have her. Sounds like a lot of hyperbole maybe but this one is the real deal.

I don’t have a real good grasp on the market right now so I’m going to start out at $12K and see where the market leads me. It is OBO. I provided the VIN for any Carfaxers. PM me if you want my number; I could talk about her all day long. If you want specific photos i am more than happy to oblige and can send them right to your phone if you wish. Thanks Mudders, have a great day!

Nice ride if you still have it in a couple weeks we will be talking.

5th line from the bottom says 12K.

It wouldn't take much to "grasp" the market, just take a look at comparable listings here, craigslist, ebay, etc. My grasp is that for the year and miles, this starting price is pretty up there.

What are these going for ? I havent followed the 100 market at all and am curious a mudder- taken care of rig like this might fetch? (Ballpark ). I see lots of trashed high miler-beaters for $5500 everywhere....but those have 100k plus miles more than this one.)

I love when people say your price is too high. The right price is the price that someone is willing to pay. Your cruiser looks like it’s been well taken care of and no rust and fairly decent mileage. You might be high but that leaves room for negotiation. Carry on.

The OP stated that he didn't have a grasp on the market; my post shows my perspective on said market. It's a context thing, perhaps you missed that @Bowling. Of course seller can list any price he/she chooses. I love it when a post states the obvious and then to carry on, as if we wouldn't.

Your posts do have a “better than thou” feeling to them honestly, so why don’t you just do your own thing if you’re not interested in buying his vehicle. And 12k seems to be a reasonable starting point. Guaranteed he can get 10.5 for his truck

Are you interested in buying the truck at 10.5, or are you just officiating?

12k is not a crazy price. Good looking truck! I bet you will get close to asking price, if not 12k. Seems like it is well taken care of. Let us know what it goes for, im hoping for 12k so you can silence your critic.
And i think you know more about the market then you think you do:).

It certainly is a nice clean truck. GLWS, Fireguy.

Thanks, but I think I'll need more than just luck to sell it now after what has become of this thread. It started out as a for sale post....guess I'll lower it to $11K to start and maybe the natives won't be so restless??:(

Agreed price is not that far off. Others on here are. This is a very interesting truck. What about the front diff? Is it still the stock 2 pinion or the upgraded 4 pinion?

It has to be the stock factory front diff. I haven't modified it and I am 99% sure Jay didn't modify it either. I know I don't have any paperwork reflecting any such modification, for whatever that is worth.
