Alright LC and UC have gulches on two different dates. LC is the week before. Why doesn't UC just pick that date.

I'm only asking because Chuck needs to have a HAMOM on the 18th. His 60 only has like 2 gears and he uses as his DD. He could really use the help and that weekend is the only weekend he has off from work for a long while. He and I already rebuild another t-case and tranny and he has all the parts. It should be just a drop the old one out and plug the new one in day.

Thoughts JP?

Works for me. Should we reserve some camping spots and make it a weekend event since I know the LC crowd will be camping?

Want to do the HAMOM at your house Marshall?

Schedule has been updated with links to the threads of the events for future reference, and planning.

only thing that comes to mind is that Chuck and wreching is a dangerous mix.... :hillbilly:

We need a couple adopt-a-highways

we have the North meets South at Jocassee the weekend of July 22.

I think we ought to have a monthly meeting at Quaker Steak here by the Harley Dealership. Really cool place.

We need a couple HAMOMs thrown in. Even though we had only a handful of people I had a really good time.

I'm up for just having an expedition aka scouting trip where all we do is drive around in circles and find a cool place to camp for a night.

At Chuck's HAMOM, JP asked me about Coppinger Cove for an expedition type run. It's certainly do-able. I recommend minimum of 33" tires, sliders and locker. Plenty of places to circle up and camp in the middle of nowhere.

That place is a long ways away. Why not just go to Harlan or some place like that?

What about wheeling?

Jeremy

Well aren't we going to do Over The Mountain Tour (OMT)? I'd say do that in August a couple weeks before the annual. Then maybe gulches or something in June.

Don't know, we haven't discussed the rest of the year yet. Works for me. Let's get some discussion going and pick some dates.

Jeremy

June 25th is a night ride Saturday at Gulches. That way those that needed to come in late afternoon could ride after dark if they wanted.

For OTMT, what did we want to do? A camping trip, bigtime wheeling park, or something different like an expedition? School starts back around the 2nd or 3rd week of August so keep that in mind.

Most all of the expedition wheeling I've found has been pretty mild, fun and scenic but mild.

There is a WMA in TN, Royal Blue maybe, that is supposed to have a ton of trails.

That might be interesting. I think Jeep Jamboree has been there before. I believe it is close to Windrock. Has anyone ever looked into renting out Jellico as a club?

Jay and I decided to move the MLK windrock trip to OTMT and do the same format we had planned for MLK with the cabin rental and making a 3-day weekend out of it.

Other than that for wheeling how about a fall URE trip or Beasley...... see some colors and do some wheeling camping.......

Also another thought on HAMOM's how you guys feel about lending a hand to a fellow UCer and service member in a crunch. Daniel Waters lives here in Augusta with me and has been a UCer for years, he has a sweet FJ45 that unfortunately had the motor sieze up just recently and what makes the problem worse is he is being relocated to another base come the first of May. Thus he is under the gun to get it back on the road and I am going to let him store in my back yard until I can get a place cleared at my dads to pull his engine and swap in one of my F's. Most likely the weekend April 16/17 if anyone wants to make the drive down to North Augusta we could use a hand and it would be a worthy use of a HAMOM.......

*On a side note some of you guys know my house flooded this past week and I met with my contractor yesterday. He gave me a rough estimate of 3 to 4 months before I would be back in so I know I haven't been around much already, but I may become even more scarce until my home is back in order:bang: But you guys can alway get a hold of me via e-mail for events stuff.
