That's right the old Chuckster needs our help. He's been driving for at least 3 years now with just two gears. If you all know Chuck you know he wouldn't pay anyone to fix it nor buy the parts to fix it. But somehow I managed to find a good transmission and I talked him into buying a t-case rebuild kit and a new clutch.

Good news is we have the transmission and t-case already rebuilt and ready to go. That took a month to do because Chuck didn't buy any seals or parts. If we can get Chuck to take the driveshafts and all the crap off the old transmission and t-case the night before we might be able to do all this in a couple hrs. Given everything goes right which with Chuck it won't.

So come on down.

Chuck will have free PBR for anyone who dares to drink it and he will serve up his famous orange hamburgers. By orange I mean the cheapest hamburgers you can find. I swore last time I ate them they glowed.

I remember that day but not having an axle pulled out.

We were bleeding Chuck's brakes. He was underneath the engine and IIRC Alex kept pouring beer on him. Chuck thought it was brake fluid so he pulled a towel over him which just made Alex pour more beer... ah, good times.

This was more than 4 years ago.... it was like 6 it pre-dates Steve-o in the club. 4 years ago I was out west working with toyota and this is def. way prior to that day

I have to be honest here. I think the only time someone has ever worked on Chucks trucks was if we had a HAMON. That includes Chuck.

Though he has been out of character lately and working on his 40 by himself. Wait that's actually kind of scary.

I know after I moved away it took him almost 2 years to touch his 40 again....... poor guy must have really missed me as I was the only brave enough or maybe it is dumb enough to work alone with chuck and one of his cruisers

Thanks for posting this up Marshall but the date is March 12th not the 19th. I'm excited about getting the new tranny and tcase put in the 60.....I ordered a steering stabilizer for it today and plan on switchin that out tomorrow....and on the 40 I got a fuel filter for it so if all goes well tomorrow I should be able to get the 40 running and moved so I can fix a seal and also fix the leak between the head and engine block.....those pics bring back some great memories....it would be great if we can get alex and alan to come hang out and share some good stories.

yeah he called me yesterday and guilted me into joining up with you guys....... as much as I would like to wheel with the club at gulches I think Chuck really needs our help. With kid number two on the way he will be SOL if he doesn't get this done soon...
