Has anyone used Epoxy Floor paint? As a final coat on the inside of my 55 I was considering Epoxy Concrete Paint. I really don't want to spend the money to Line the truck again.
The floor has two coats of Speedliner, Dynamat, a coat of Second Skin Sludge Firewall Ceramic and two coats of Spectrum. I just want the floor painted white and this stuff is really durable. Any thoughts good or bad?

I've used it on concrete and it is very tough stuff - I once had to drag a 16000# press break across the floor and the paint was only scuffed - not chipped or flaked - and after a couple of sweeps during cleanup you couldn't see the mark anymore.

As for the floor of your LC - I wouldn't know but if it will bond to the existing surface it should work???

Its good stuff, but I'd be a little concerned about the fact that the sheet metal is a little more flexible than the concrete it was designed for. You could do a test on a piece of sheet metal.

If you ever attempted to remove this stuff, you would be much less concerned. ;)

I don't think that will be an issue and I really can't duplicate my floor, remember it has 2 coats of Speedliner, Dynamat, Ceramic Coating and Spectrum Sound Deadening.
I think I'll test the area under my back seat this weekend and see how it turns out.

I used epoxy floor paint when I painted my LC desert tan three years ago! Very tough! The OD is Find Krylon Project Camouflage Latex Paint, 1 Gal Olive Drab and other Specialty Paint Products at Aubuchon Hardware

Great lookin' rig, 1shot --

I'm gonna use that stuff in Khaki to do mine.

How did you apply it ?

S.

It was bi&*^ to apply with a spray, because epoxy can contains both Kevlar microfibers and feldspar ceramic, however, it can be done with patience and cleaning the noozle to the sparyer often.

That stuff looks bullet proof!

Came out really nice, best of all it has almost no odor now that it has set. The Speedliner had a horrible ordor that never went away. Time will tell how it holds up.

The paint job looks great. So you went right over the sound deadener, no special prep?

Yup, rolled it right over the Spectrum, If I had to do it over again I would buy Durabak because once you mix the epoxy hardner and let it sit for 30 min, you have 2 1/2 hours to use it. After it dryed there were a few spots that needed a second coat so I had to buy another gallon and used less then 1/4 of a gallon. So there was alot wasted but I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Lou did you use Rustoleum's Epoxyshield garage floor application? If not which product exactly did you use? Thanks.
