Engine question

I just bought a '65 FJ40. The engine is minus the oil bath filter, has an alternator, not a generator, the oil filter is ondriver side, mounted vertical. The dipstick and oil filler neck are on passenger side, by dizzy. I have the block number, F207827(maybe a 0). The truck number is FJ-34041.
Pretty sure it's a '65. - windshield vent, long boards, and heater vent. Would post pics if I could, maybe soon!! Please let me know what you think, and thanks in advance!

Congrats on the new 40, according to your VIN it looks like a march of 1965 production date.

Believe the alternator replaced the generator in 64. So that part is correct.

Yup,1964 was first year for alternator.
